TOURNAMENT GUIDE FOR PLAYERS
The WGAWNY Representative from the host club is the tournament chairman of the event, with the other members of WGAWNY working as her Committee. Hosting information is posted on the Rep Guide and Hosting page.
Contestants are responsible for mailing entry forms to the treasurer before the published deadline, with a check in US Funds for $65 for the total fee that includes cart and lunch.
NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED BEFORE THE OPENING DATE LISTED ON THE ENTRY FORM. AS A REMINDER, SIGN UP AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE BEFORE THE SIGN-UP DEADLINE. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF THEY ARE POSTMARKED AFTER THE DEADLINE. (New 2019)
Pairings and tee times shall be posted at www.wgawny.com approximately two days before an event, and as made available by each host pro shop. Entry fees are non-refundable once the entry deadline has passed.
Pairings, as published, are the responsibility of the tournament chair (Club Rep) and her Club Pro. Any changes may be made by the Committee only. Special pairing requests are not accepted. Pairings are made strictly by handicap except that we try to mix Buffalo and Rochester players in each group. Players who change their pairings without permission shall be disqualified.
If the tournament field must be limited for any reason, entries will be accepted in the order they are received.
It is the responsibility of each WGAWNY member to put her current handicap index (as of the required date) on each entry form. Any member found to be giving incorrect indexes will be immediately suspended from the membership.
Note: The competition is final when the winners have been announced, or, in the absence
Golf skirts, skorts and shorts, all not more than 4 inches above the knee, slacks, capris, shirts with sleeves and/or sleeveless shirts with collars ARE acceptable.
Short shorts, tank tops, tennis-length shorts and jeans are NOT acceptable at any WGAWNY event.
Players who do not comply will be given the opportunity to change, wear rain pants or buy appropriate attire from the host pro shop.
Failure to honor this policy will result in disqualification from the event.
All WGAWNY members dining inside the host clubhouse following play must remove all visors, caps and hats.
